Associateship (Affiliate)
Affiliate Members are persons (Associates and Fellows of Affiliated Institutions/Organisations) of outstanding intellectual ability, who are interested in the professional practise of commercial diplomacy and the work of the Professional body (ACCD). This category of Membership is open to those who are Associates of affiliated professional institutions, for a maximum of three years, after which application for full Associateship is expected, upon completion of required qualifying courses.
Qualifying
This category of membership is open to individuals with personal interests in the professional practise of commercial diplomacy, but who:

have not registered or completed any of the qualifying advanced courses as recommended by council;

can satisfy council with substantial career progression; and who
-
can also produce evidence of seniority and maturity of experience in any field which involves or promotes the advancement and professional practice of commercial diplomacy.
Also qualified executives practising in the broad area encompassed by international trade and investment policy; economics; or commercial diplomacy related subjects. Associates (Affiliate) are elected for renewable terms (annually).
To be elected to this category, candidates shall:

have completed a Postgraduate degree programme in a related field;

be or have been in employment (Senior Management level) for an aggregate of at least three years or more;

in the opinion of the Council, be making or have made significant contribution to the advancement of global trade, commercial diplomatic service, the profession of commercial diplomacy, and or the objects of the Association;

be willing and able to promote, safeguard and protect the integrity of the Professional Body (The Association).
