The CoDRA Code of Professional Conduct
Council is fully committed to delivering its part of the transformation of the commercial diplomatic skills already in place. One of the CoDRA fundamental aims is to safeguard the integrity and increase the professionalism of qualified and professionally accredited practitioners.
To further this chief aim, professionally accredited practitioners shall adhere to the CoDRA Code of Professional Conduct, as a way of providing tangible evidence of their commitment to professionalism and probity and be subject to disciplinary action by Council for breaching the CoDRA Code.
Decision:
Council shall:

collaborate and help reform and rebuild the commercial diplomatic skills supply system globally (by improving how commercial diplomatic skills are delivered by institutes, academies, colleges, universities and private trainers, for employers and their workforce).

advance its essential work on commercial diplomacy qualification reform, to better meet the needs of tomorrow's workforce and further develop network capacity and capability
-
build on its strong global reputation for commercial diplomatic service and practise
-
work effectively with key partners across the diplomatic skills system, to ensure that the system delivers consistently for employers
-
address the issues of corporate social responsibility, corruption, human rights and responsible commercial diplomatic education and practise.

bring about a fundamental change in the way organizations and institutions think about commercial diplomatic profession and skills.
-
encourage by increasing the interest in the demand for skills in commercial diplomatic field by employers -in order to maintain our status as world class professionals.
Professional Awards and Accreditation
Council shall:
-
authorize the award of Master Certificate of Competency to those who have successfully completed the Commercial Diplomatic Practise programme 'Master of Commercial Diplomacy' plus the Qualified Advocate course(with proven substantial period of professional experience in a related field)

authorize the award of Mastership to practitioners who successfully complete the Higher Doctoral QCD Mandatory Qualifying programme 'Doctor of Commercial Diplomacy' (with proven significant period of professional experience)

qualify practitioners for Qualified Advocate, QCD and or Chartered Diplomat accreditation. Practitioners who have successfully completed a Higher Doctoral programme; been awarded a PhD, LLD, DCD etc in a diplomatic affairs related field (preferably in commercial diplomacy) with proven significant relevant period of practical professional experience (Senior Executive/Management position); and have been successful in their assessment or peer review.
