The Professional Standard - Chartered Diplomat
Stage 1 & 2 Special Consideration

This route is suitable for senior diplomats, senior government officials, ambassadors or senior executives currently in employment and with more than 12 years proven practical professional experience.

The no study route
Take no course and submit your Professional Portfolio. Senior Diplomats, Senior Policy Advisors and Doctorates with more than 20 years proven practical professional experience in related field or equivalent qualifications may feel confident to take this route with minimal study. You should only opt for this route if you are confident in all areas of the syllabus of the Mastership in Commercial Diplomacy Programme.
Mastership/Higher Doctorate Degree Holders Route
Candidates who have completed the Mastership in Commercial Diplomacy programme or possess a Higher Doctorate degree in related field may be exempted from the academic requirements and only be required to submit a portfolio of experience (Stage 4).
If the Council can make you an award of transferred credit for your previous study or significant proven practical professional experience (employment) this will reduce the number of courses you need. Successful completion of advanced postgraduate education courses and or work experience will surely count towards the award of Chartered Diplomat
